Beyond Reflections is a first-person digital visual narrative, which handles issues of identity, relationships and violence in an abstract fictional setting that allows space for projection and interpretation.
The player is invited to reconstruct their past through a sequence of vague memories depicting key events in life. Premises in the design are that violence dehumanizes, human identity is reflected on the face and characters in Beyond Reflections may slide into becoming Faceless ones, as they drift further apart from each other in the social fabric. The player through a journey in self-reflection forms their own face as a result of their decisions.
