Christina Chrisanthopoulou
Christina holds a MArch in Architecture Engineering, from the National Technical University of Athens, and a M.A. in "Art and Virtual Reality", a collaboration between the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Paris 8 University. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the School of Film Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focusing her research on the impact of narrative virtual reality experiences on loss and grief.
She has several publications in conferences such IEEE VR2015, VS-Games Barcelona (2017), and the 5th Annual VR & Healthcare Global Symposium (2021) concerning the creation of digital content for educational and artistic applications.
She has participated with personal and group projects in various exhibitions and festivals, such as the Ars Electronica Festival (Linz, 2015), the A.MAZE festival (Berlin, 2018), the Athens Digital Arts Festival 2020, and the Ars Electronica Garden Athens 2020.
She has worked as an adjunct professor at the Multimedia Lab of the Athens School of Fine Arts and as an adjunct lecturer at the XR laboratory of the AUTH, and has conducted multiple seminars on virtual reality and game design at institutions and research centres.
She is a co-founder, art director and XR designer of Otter Space XR, a non-profit operating in the creation of interactive XR content for artistic and educational purposes. Since 2023, she has been working as game designer for Gruppo Maggioli in EU-funded research projects.
In parallel she has been working as a painter for the creation of cover artworks, for music albums.
